noun : 1.  Andira retusa, a Brazilian tree species. Has purple flowers, and a slight aroma of oranges.

Andira International was created in 2005 as an import and distribution company by founder and designer, Beth Doane. The word “Andira” describes a tall tree that grows in the Brazilian Amazon and has been been used for centuries by indigenous people for its medicinal properties. However, due to logging and deforestation, the species has been vastly devastated.

Because of facts like these, it is Beth’s goal to create global change by educating consumers on critical issues using industries such as fashion, and collections such as her own eco conscious brand, Rain Tees.

Andira has grown to offer consulting, design, distribution and marketing to companies that want to launch products while remaining as eco-conscious as possible.

Every collection Andira designs, imports or helps to produce is made using fair labor practices, and contains no animal parts or products as we believe fashion should always be cruelty free.

Andira also offers a “Rescue an Animal Program” through Merazonia which rescues trafficked and abused Amazonian animals. You can help by rescuing an endangered animal here: ADOPT
